Brake System

There are multiple components of your brake system that can need assistance at differing times. For starters, the brake pedal can go soft or spongy due to a lack of brake fluid, which is the first liquid that may need to be replaced. This hydraulic fluid will transfer the force into pressure so the brake pad presses against the rotor effectively. The moving rotor will then halt so your wheels stop, bringing you to a safe and immovable speed. Each part needs different maintenance and in order to better handle the vehicle you’re driving, you will need to perform frequent tests and, when needed, replacements. 

Test and Replacement

Our Service Department will participate in various tests before we decide a part of your brake system needs to be replaced. First, we will do a visual inspection of your brake pads and rotors. Depending on the amount of wear and tear, we will determine if you can still go longer before we change them. However, if they look worn down or are not properly lubricated, they will be replaced as soon as we can. Our Parts Department has the necessary items in stock so you can rest easy. Warning Signs

As mentioned before, a spongy brake pedal can be one of the first things you might notice when you’re driving and you reach a stop sign. Then, you also might notice that your braking action is taking longer than it had in the past. This can serve as a signal that your brake pads or your rotors are worn down. There may also be an illuminated dashboard warning light that will indicate that there is something wrong with your vehicle’s brake system. It’s always best to stop by our location in order to get the brakes tested and properly replaced when the time comes.     Not a single complaint. My wife wasn't quite sure what she wanted. Worked with Joshua Warshaswsky, and he was perfect with it. More than a few test drives, lots of questions and going home ta think on it. He was very patient, helpful and a wealth of knowledge on Hondas. He didn't push and was quick too respond with follow up info. Ended up with a new CR-V and a very happy wife. Cinthia Chavez handled all the final paper. She was very exact on going thru the final details, giving her opinion on signings and additional products. Very pleased with the entire experience.

    My wife and I took her mother to Honda to look for a new car, and we were helped by Jose Vallarino. Jose was amazing—he showed us multiple cars, made sure we were comfortable with our options, and didn’t hesitate to grab different keys so we could test-drive several vehicles. When it came time to negotiate, he really worked with us to find something that fit what we wanted. He made us feel safe, supported, and confident in our decision. Jose was truly the highlight of the entire experience. When we moved on to the financing portion, Cinthia Chavez took over. My mother-in-law isn’t familiar with cars, fees, or the many add-ons dealerships try to sell, so before sitting down we made a plan to help her through the process. Unfortunately, our experience with Cinthia was very different. She came across as pushy and short with us, especially when my wife and I stepped in to help explain things to my mother-in-law. She worked hard to upsell various protections, extended warranties, and add-ons, which left my mother-in-law confused. When we tried to support her decision-making, Cinthia seemed irritated. Overall, her behavior was the complete opposite of Jose’s, and we would not recommend working with her.

    We had the unfortunate experience of meeting Derek in the sales department. We came in and it was sprinking a little. We are in the market to buy a medium size SUV. We wanted to see what Honda has to offer. Since nobody came out to greet us we went into the showroom to look at what Honda had. We were just trying out the CRV when approached by Derek. He did ask if he could help and I responded I just wanted to see what was comfortable in seating space. The CRV was too small so we saw a Pilot parked next to it and tried it. He came back and I said we like this car what would be a lease payment on this. He took off for a minute and came back and said $750 - $850 a month. I said that is crazy it should not be more then $650. He said are you going to buy today and I will give you a real price today? I responded I am not buying today and I just wanted an actual price if you want me to consider this vehicle. He said unless you plan on buying now I gave you a price. I said forget it we are no longer interested. I should not have to commit to buying the vehicle when I cannot get an honest answer to a simple question. By the way I have been a manager in the car business for over 22 years. I do not appreciate how you handled this. He said I am only interested if you are buying today. I said I do not want to hear anymore we are leaving. He yelled as we left we are here to help if you are buying today. I would never buy under these circumstances and because of this we decided to buy from another dealer. We would never recommend this sales person or this store.

    This was my third time in 3 years with an issue with maintenance. First, my start was bad but they couldn’t tell me why. Second, was within the last 12 months. I took my car in for 2 things, torque converter which was under warranty and the 100k. Somewhere in between my battery died and I popp d the hood, nothing was connected with my intake(stock). They blamed me. This last time my wheel well panel came off while driving. They didn’t install a new panel correct and I had to bring it back. Sadly, I had to show the master tech what his tech did wrong. Even worse, management couldn’t be bothered to give me a call even after I left the voice mail on their machine, they passed it off to the best customer service rep known to man. I hope he finds a better place to work

    Made an appointment for a new key fob. Two hours waiting the advisor let me know they could not cut the key and I would have to pay an additional $60 for them to contract it out. I left and will take my business elsewhere. Just terrible!

    The salesman tried to screw me on the interest rate. I was promised 0% but then they drew up the K for 3%. The Transmission died at 123K miles just outside of warranty. I should have known! I was quoted 2,200 for a CV boot. I went to Davis Honda for a second opinion and they fixed it for nearly 1/3 the price. I will never go back to Vacaville Honda or buy a Honda again.

    Incompetent workers from the mechanics to the sales people. Haven’t had a single good experience. Don’t bother, just go to Fairfield instead. They’ve been able to handle everything this location couldn’t.

    Honda refusing to give me the MCO/MSO and forcing registration to CA even when I told them I was not going to register it in CA. When asked for their policy or notes/directives they refused to give me documentation. Never buy a car here or anything ever in your life. Yeah but, your dealership sent MN the temp tags information and not the registration information from CA DMV so you did not understand how to do your role even when asked to check in on it you refused and told me to go talk to someone else.

    I have a new 24 honda civic touring took my car in for a recall and got my car back with my instrument cluster cracked i know for a fact it wasn't like that before they got it. I called and took it in and voiced my concerns their response back to me was maybe the heat caused it to crack.. Really!!

    I had taken my car for an oil change and had a ring stolen out of my car, I reached out multiple times and continuously got told I would receive a call back but anytime I would call, the manager would not be in/never return my call. Unfortunate that there are people working there who are dishonest and would do something like that to their customers.
